Offline map
Map tiles you've viewed are kept for offline use. To prepare for a trip, zoom to the lake while you have service, then save the area.
Your data
Catches are stored only on this phone and are kept when the app is closed, the phone restarts, or you have no service. Back up now and then in case the phone is lost or replaced. A restore merges the backup into what's already here.
PIN lock
The PIN hides the app from people holding your unlocked phone. It does not encrypt your data; your phone's passcode does that.
